War on cash has been on for quite some time now. I have been following Visual Capitalist for several years. Visually appealing, I know, but they always provide source data, and that I have found useful overtime.
The trick
Only today, reading attached infograph I thought to my self:
The pushed reasoning behind war on cash has always been the same. Preventing terrorism, criminal activities and drug, human gun etc. trade. I won’t expand today on my own beliefs, some of which could already be found in Treatise on Money, but why can’t we achieve win-win by eliminating only the highest denominations of bills?
Could you image the stacks of paper it would take to make a deal of few million euro/dollar deal in 10’s? The biggest crimes are funneled though banks anyway.
