Sunday ride to the west
Baden-Baden
We started early and got to Baden-Baden at around 10 in the morning. Got to be honest, I have’t heard of the city before and I did not expect to see anything special. So far the most beautiful cities in Europe for me were Brussels and Seville. But damn, I was pleasantly surprised. Weather was perfect to represent the most of Baden-Baden in winter.
Unfortunately the Casino was closed..
Surprisingly I took some shots during this weekend I am satisfied with. Maybe I’m learning to see good cinematographic surroundings, I don’t know. What I do know in the past I produced no more than one proper shot during the whole holiday-travel time.
The whole city center is situated along this little river, which I’m sure sparks life to the city.
What’s there not to like..? Simply beautiful.
This was pretty odd in the park. Sure catches an eye.
Next we found garden of roses, which naturally in the Winter is somewhat empty, but I did admire the care for garden that was visible.
Funny enough, the other side of the morning sun looks like a different park. Some park in Spring time.

Strasbourg
First time in Strasbourg as well. First impression: nothing special, casual beautiful western Europe city center. Plus Christmas decorations.
Until from one of the corners I saw this view, which just stopped me jaw-dropped.
Strasbourg Cathedral… Oh dear.
The square it self is really beautiful too.
Staggering amount of details. Reminds me of Duomo di Milano. Little devils… Symbolism never ceases of these eternal dichotomies.
5 euros, a lot of round stairs and there you are on the roof. With Strasbourg at your palm.
